Keep reading below for how to measure your area for your screened-in porch, deck, or patio.

How To Measure For A Custom Screen Installation

To get started with your online quote, we’ll only need to know the length x width of the area you’d like to screen in. Let’s use a backyard porch as an example.

As long as you have a floor, roof, and support columns, you can screen in your porch, patio, or deck. Start by measuring the longest back side of the area you want to screen. This will be the width. Then, measure the length from the house to where you measured the width on both sides. The two length measurements may be the same or different, depending on the shape of the area you want to screen in. Another way to measure the area for a screened-in porch is to take the total measurement length of all the outside lengths. This is usually three sides in total.

We do not need to know the height of the area you want to screen in, only the length x width or the total length of the three sides.
